Fail Ice Cream Attempt (and about school)

So I found a can of evaporated milk today in the pantry, and remembered that some show on food network said you could make ice cream with this stuff.

I went online and found a recipe that involved me whipping the milk with a whisk until it was fluffy, then adding sugar and other ingredients that I liked. This sounded easy enough.

I followed the instructions and dumped out the milk into a mixing bowl. It was all yellow-y and smelled weird, but I was brave enough to try it. It tasted like milk to me.

Anyway, I put the bowl in the freezer and chilled the whisk so the soon-to-be-ice-cream stayed cold. I didn't want to clean mixer, so I kinda just sat in the living room and whisked.

(Oh yeah. I draw pictures now. :D)

After about ten minutes of whisking I was satisfied with my work, and I added red food coloring to make the strawberry ice cream pink (Not very manly, I know) and added sugar and some strawberry preserves so it wouldn't just taste like sugar. Then I mixed it up, and put it in a plastic container. It doesn't look too good.

Oh well. It will hopefully taste good :)

I made it in celebration of school starting tomorrow (lame party, I know). I feel kinda dorky because I have to ask my grandma to sew me a pencil pouch before tomorrow, because my dad doesn't wanna go out and buy one for me. Basically, she's going to:

1. Find old pencil pouch that has the Blue's Clues gang on it.

2. Find off-white fabric.

3. Print picture off internet onto transfer. Irons on to fabric.

4. Sew it over Blue's Clues gang.

5. ???

6. PROFIT!

I'll tell how the ice cream (and the pencil pouch) turn out tomorrow.
